Chef Karen Diggs

Chief Fermentation Officer

“Why did I partner with Le Parfait to design a new version of my existing Kraut Source fermentation device?

Le Parfait glass jars and terrines are available around the world. I want to enable people everywhere to ferment and to enjoy not only the delicious foods that can be made at home, but also the benefits that fermented foods provide to your microbiome."

Rooted in
tradition

Le Parfait has been making sustainable and durable jars in France since 1930. For the past few years, Le Parfait products have been manufactured in Puy-Guillaume, a small town of 3,000 inhabitants in the heart of France’s Auvergne region.

Go beyond fermenting

Le Parfait glass jars aren't just limited to fermenting. The sophisticated design, durability, and ease of use make them a welcome addition to the modern home. Use the versatile jars to:

  • Preserve your seasonal harvest
  • Revitalize your pantry storage and bulk-goods shopping
  • Serve up a decadent homemade spread
  • Liven any room as flower vase or candle holder
  • Craft the perfect gifts for your loved ones

Commitment to sustainability

Why does Le Parfait produce only glass? Because it's natural, durable, 100% recyclable, and in fact, it can be recycled an unlimited number of times. Glass is also resilient, air and water proof, and preserves flavors without affecting taste. It's basically the healthiest choice there is for food packaging and storage.

Le Parfait takes it even a step further, by presenting the jars elegantly within environmentally friendly packaging. The jars are safeguarded by custom recycled cardboard inserts for separation of jars and spring cushioning. The whole carton is a self-mailer—no additional shipping box required!
